Kulturno istorijski spomenici Vranja

MARKOVO KALE, ostaci srednjovekovnog utvrđenja, na antičkim temeljima. Pretpostavlja se da ga je podigao vizantijski car Justian I u VI veku. (Severno od Vranja, 3 - 4 km).
CRKVA SVETOG NIKOLE zadužbina braće Balsića. Car Dušan je između 1343. i 1345, sa Vranjem, priložio Hilandaru.(Ulica Josifa Pančića).
CRKVA MUČENICE PETKE PARASKEVE poznatija kao krstata džamija. Stavivši na vrh minareta krst i polumesec, Turci su nameravali da tako izmire dve religije. (ulica Crnogorska)
HAMAM je staro tursko kupatilo, sagrađeno krajem XVII veka. Književnik Bora Stanković ga često pominje u svojim delima.(Ulica Petog kongresa)
PAŠIN KONAK je sagradio moćni Raif-beg Džinić 1765 god. U prvoj zgradi (Narodni Muzej) bio je selamuk za boravak muškaraca, a u drugoj (poslovni centar SIMPO) haremluk za pašine žene. (Ulica Kralja Stefana Prvovenčanog)
CRKVA BOGORODIČINOG USPENJA - SOBINSKA CRKVA datira iz srednjovekovne srpske države. Turci su je srušili, ali je obnovljena 1820. (Ulica Hadži Tomina).
SABORNA CRKVA SVETE TROJICE 1838. je stavljena pod krov. Sa nekoliko kubeta dominirala je u odnosu na džamije, zbog čeka su je Turci srušili. Obnovljena je 1858. godine prilozima Vranjanaca. (Milutinovića 26).
BELI MOST je podignut 1844. godine. Zovu ga i "most ljubavi", jer je, po legendi, podignut u pomen nesrećne ljubavi Turkinje Ajse i srpskog pastira Stojana. (Ulica devet Jugovića)
ČESMA ĐERENKA: Legenda kaže da su je Turci podigli kao spomenik svom omiljenom Đerdelezu, koji nije uspeo da osvoji srce lepe crnooke Srpkinje, kojoj je, po njemu, bilo namenjeno ime - Đerenka (Ulica Sindelića)
CRKVA PREPODOBNE PARASKEVE - SVETE PETKE je izgrađena 1925, na temeljima starog hrama, koji je pripadao metohu manastira Dečani. (Šapranačko groblje)
MUZEJ KUĆA BORE STANKOVIĆA izgradena oko 1850. godine. U muzej je pretvorena 18. juna 1967. godine. (Ulica Baba Zlatina 9)
SPOMENIK OSLOBODIOCIMA VRANJA iz 1878. godine, poznatiji kao Čika Mitke, otkriven je 1903. godine. Delo poznatog beogradskog vajara Simeona Roksandića. (Trg Republike)
SPOMENIK ŽRTVAMA ZVERSTAVA BUGARSKOG OKUPATORA podignut je početkom 1922. godine. (Ulica Bore Stankovića)
SPOMENIK BORI STANKOVIĆU delo vajara Slavka Sose, otkriven je 7. septembra 1954. u Gradskom parku.
SPOMENIK REVOLUCIJI otkriven je 1985. godine, na 41. rođendan slobode, delo je beogradskog vajara Anta Grzetica. (Ulica Partizanska)

SPOMENIK RATNICIMA OSLOBODILAČKIH RATOVA 1912-1918. podignut je 1988. godine, u pomen na žrtve balkanskih i prvog svetskog rata. (Ulica Gnjilanska)

Cultural and Historical Monuments of Vranje

 

MARKOVO KALE, the remains of a medieval fort, on ancient foundations. It is assumed that it was constructed by the Byzantine Emperor Justian I in VI century. (To the north of Vranje, 3 - 4 km).

 

 

ST. NICOLA'S CHURCH , the pious endowment of the Balsić brothers. Between 1343 and 1345, together with Vranje, Emperor Dušan donated it to Hilandar.( Josifa Pančića Street ).

THE CHURCH OF THE MARTYR PETKA PARASCEVE known as the crossed mosque. By putting the cross and crescent on the top of the minaret, the Turks intended to thus reconcile the two religions. ( Crnogorska Street )

HAMAM (the Turkish Baths) is the old Turkish bath house, constructed by the end of XVII century. The writer Bora Stanković often mentioned it in his books.(Petog kongresa Street)

PAŠIN KONAK (Pasha's residence) was constructed by the powerful Raif-beg Džinić in 1765. The first building (the National Museum ) was selamlik for the stay of men, and the second one (the business center of SIMPO) was haremlik for the Pasha's wives. ( Kralja Stefana Prvovenčanog Street )

THE CHURCH OF DORMMITION OF THE MOTHER OF GOD - SOBINSKA CHURCH dates from the medieval Serbian state. The Turks demolished it, but it was restored in 1820. ( Hadži Tomina Street ).

THE CATHEDRAL CHURCH OF THE HOLY TRINITY was roofed in 1838. With several domes, it dominated over the mosques, due to which it was demolished by the Turks. It was restored in 1858, with the donations of the people of Vranje. ( #26, Milutinovića Street ).

BELI MOST ( WHITE BRIDGE ) was constructed in 1844. It is also called the "Bridge of Love", because, the legend has it, it was constructed in memory of an ill-fated love between a Turkish woman Ajsa and a Serbian shepherd Stojan. (Devet Jugovića Street )

ČESMA DJERENKA (DRINKING FOUNTAIN): The legend has it that it was erected by the Turks as a monument to their beloved Djerdelez, who did not manage to win the heart of a beautiful black-eyed Serbian woman, whom he intended to name - Djerenka (Sindelića Street)

THE CHURCH OF THE VENERABLE PARASCEVE - SAINT PETKA was constructed in 1925, on the foundations of an old temple, which had belonged to the metoch (revenue land) of Dečani monastery. (Šapranačko cemetery)

MUSEUM-HOUSE OF BORA STANKOVIĆ was constructed around 1850. It was converted into the museum on June 18, 1967. (Baba Zlatina 9 Street)

MONUMENT TO THE LIBERATORS OF VRANJE from 1878, popular as Čika Mitke, was unveiled in 1903. The work of the renowned Belgrade sculptor Simeon Roksandić. (The Republic Square)

MONUMENT TO THE VICTIMS OF ATROCITIES OF THE BULGARIAN OCCUPIER was erected in the beginning of 1922. ( Bore Stankovića Street )

MONUMENT TO BORA STANKOVIĆ a work of the sculptor Slavko Sosa, unveiled on September 7, 1954, in the City Park .

MONUMENT TO THE REVOLUTION was unveiled in 1985, on the 41 st anniversary of freedom, the work of the Belgrade sculptor Ante Grzetic. ( Partizanska Street )

MONUMENT TO THE SOLDIERS OF THE LIBERATION WARS in 1912-1918, was erected in 1988, in memory of the victims of the Balkan Wars and of the First World War. ( Gnjilanska Street )
